Arms Around The Triangle

“God already at work”

As my family and I finalized our move into the “Triangle” region, we were keenly aware that God had been at work in many creative ways through His people here already. This point was driven home to me as I entered a retail store to purchase a part for an appliance. While conversing with the clerk, she asked why I came to the area. I explained as simply as I could about the church and the mission God has placed in my heart. She began to comment upon her Catholic religion and then she paused. She continued her story by describing a heart-felt love for a local Southern Baptist pastor and wife who cared enough to visit her in the hospital in Savannah. She went as far to say that if she were to change religions, she would go to that Southern Baptist church, “When I attend their church, I feel like they are genuine, and that the people who attend there live what they believe.”

There are many people in our region who do not have a personal relationship with God through Jesus, but it is so encouraging to know that the simple Gospel shared through the caring love of couple on a hospital visit and authentic lifestyles of Christians displays God at work and touches people deep in their hearts.
