OCTOBER

 

 

Grays Hill Baptist Church

Monday, October 2nd from 3pm to 5pm - Good News Bible Club at Shanklin Elementary School. Volunteers help students with homework after school each Monday. Call Vera Ellis (914-320-1674) for more information.

Thursday, October 5th  - Sisters On Missions/WMU at 6:30 PM. Women 18 and over are invited to join us for fellowship the first Thursday of each month. We have fellowship and activities such as Bible study and missions activities.

Friday, October 6th from 3:30 pm - 4:30 pm - Bayview Assisted Living Ministry - Each Friday a group of volunteers spends one hour with Bayview residents sharing Christ's love. Volunteers choose activities like sing-a-longs, games, or Bible study. Volunteers are needed. Please call Ken Breen (256-508-9195) for more information.

Saturday, October 7th from 9:00 AM - 11:00 AM - Walk or Bike-A-Thon  Our Children's Ministry Walk or Bike-A-Thon.  Join us for a fun morning of biking or walking! You can sponsor a child by offering to pay a "per lap" or flat donations. Riders or walkers can request sponsorship to ride/walk or make a donation themselves. Your donations toward this event will help renovate the nursery and children's wing and to help our Children's Ministry add activities and grow!

Tuesday, October 17th at 10:30 AM - Senior Luncheon "Octoberfest" Theme. We have a good time in fellowship including a devotional, a Bible quiz, a game with prizes, celebrating birthdays & sometimes a speaker or other special program followed by a wonderful lunch. You are welcome to bring a salad, fruit or dessert to round out our menu. The main meat dish will be provided.

Saturday, October 21st at 11:00 AM - Pastor Appreciation Luncheon - October is Pastor Appreciation Month and GHBC will celebrate our Pastor, James Baker, with a bbq picnic and games.

Saturday, October 28th from 4:00 PM - 9:00 PM - Relay for Life - Our GHBC "Crusaders" Relay for Life team is looking for new members to participate in the Relay for Life at Southside Park, Southside Park Loop, Beaufort SC. For more information or to join our team, call Pat Garvin (843-575-0986).

Sunday, October 29th from 4:00 PM - 7:30 PM - Fall Harvesting. Instead of our annual Trunk or Treat event, we will have a Fall Harvesting event with food, snacks, and outdoor games like sack races and corn hole.

Monday, October 30th at 6:30 PM - Crossbearers Men's Fellowship Dinner - Speaker and menu will be announced later. Men ages teen and up are encouraged to come and bring a friend to this outreach opportunity. We have a meal, a speaker, and a time of fellowship. Whether you have a church home or not, you are invited to come fellowship with us. Bring a side dish or dessert to share.

 

Hardeeville First Baptist Church

October 8th - Homecoming - Please join us for Koinonia (Fellowship) at 9:30 AM then Bible Study ay 10 AM, followed by worship at 11 AM and a wonderful covered dish meal provided by our church family.

October 28th - Fall Festival / Halloween treats for all.

 

Hilton Head Island First Baptist

Wednesday, October 25, 6:00 - 7:30 PM: Trunk or Treat - A Safe Fall Holiday Event - "Be a Spark in the Dark"; Back parking lot at the church, 100 South Forest Beach Drive, Hilton Head Island, SC; Hot Dog Dinner - 5:00 PM - 6:00 PM - $3.00 each ($1.00 for extra hot dogs). All proceeds go to Missions.First Come, First Served. Trunk or Treat begins at 6:00 PM. Games, Prizes, Candy, Firetruck, Bouncy Slide, Hay Ride, Fun! All with a "non-scary and Christian" theme. Maye River Baptist Church

October 1- 6:00 p.m. Sunday Evening Worship Service: We invite everyone to attend the ordination of Brian Saba on October 1.  We are proud that Maye River Baptist Church has the honor of ordaining into ministry Brian Saba in our Sunday Evening Service.  Come join us as we recognize Brian’s decision to dedicate his life to God’s ministry.   There will be refreshment after the ordination.

October 28, 2017, 1:00 – 5:00 pm: Maye River Baptist Church’s Fall Festival; Come join us for an afternoon of fun, food and fellowship. Everyone is invited to attend. There are a number of activities that are especially selected to entertain your children.

October 29, 2017 at 6:00 pm: Sunday Evening Concert by the Sun Tones

Come join us as for an evening of Ladies Barbershop music. Their music is sure to inspire and entertain.  Ice Cream Social will follow in the Fellowship Hall.

 

Port Royal Baptist Church

Fall Festival-October 28, 5:00-7:00 p.m.-Join us for a time of food, fun, games and trunk-or-treat. Trunk-or-treat will begin at 6:30 p.m.

Community Bible Study, Evening Class- Mondays from 6:30 to 8:00 p.m.  -  The Evening Class of Community Bible Study, a non-denominational international organization, is excited to announce the addition of a children’s ministry to their format of men’s, women’s, and couples classes. Now families with school age children have the opportunity to look into Scripture together with an age-graded curriculum.  Genesis, the book of beginnings, will be the perfect place to start a new tradition. St. Helena Baptist Church

Tuesday, October 3, 2017 10:30 am- 1:00 pm: WMU Friendship Circle at our church. It's a time of devotion and women coming together to discuss missions and prayer groups.

Wednesday October 4, 2017 6:00 - 8:00 pm: W M U and our Men's Ministry will be meeting at 7:00 after our fellowship dinner to discuss our future missions itinerary, as well as Mission friends, RAs, GAs, and Youth missions to be accomplished.

We come together every Wednesday for fellowship dinner and classes followed by Bible study.

October 14, 2017, 6:00pm: 70's Decade Party; $10.00 a person, $30.00 max per family; Dinner and dance - come show off your 70's style! A time to fellowship, meet new people, and have a time of exploring a new decade by someone's first hand experience.

October 18, 2017 6:00 - 8:30pm: Our Church's Fall Festival where there will be games, food, and good times celebrated with friends and guests. There will also be a hay ride to the pumpkin patch for kids to pick a pumpkin to decorate.
