Family Bible Fellowship

First Baptist Church Hilton Head Island

Sunday, March 10: Dr. Richard Blackaby will be the guest speaker during the 10:30 am morning worship service. Dr. Blackaby will speak at another session on the church campus from 1:30 – 3:30 pm, "Building a Legacy of Faith: Reaching Prodigals." $10.00 per person for the afternoon session. Maye River Baptist Church

Come Join us for Sunday School at 9:45 a. m. and for Morning Worship at 11:00 a.m. Children’s Church is available for all young children.

Every Tuesday from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m.  — Women’s Free Lunch, followed by Women’s Bible Study (the David Jeremiah study on the Book of Revelations) from 1:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m.  This study is open to the community and we invite all women to come join us.

Wednesdays at 6:30 p.m. - Prayer Meeting and Bible Study

Every Thursday at 7:00 p.m. - Men’s Bible Study (currently studying Revelation)  All men are welcome to attend as we study the Word of God.

Port Royal Baptist Church

March 6, 6:30 p.m. - Randy Creamer, SCBC Disaster Relief, will be our guest speaker. Mr. Creamer leads disaster relief at the South Carolina Baptist Convention. An Anderson, SC native, Creamer previously served with the North American Mission Board as a disaster relief response coordinator. He served as pastor of three Upstate churches over 23 years before working 11 years at NAMB. Creamer is a graduate of Southern Wesleyan University and Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. He lives in Anderson with his wife Pam.  

March 17, 11:00 a.m.- Friendship Day and Fellowship; Everyone is encouraged to bring a friend to church.  After the morning service, join us for a potluck lunch and time of fellowship.  Bring your favorite dishes to share and meet in the Family Life Center.

March 30, 8:00 a.m.- 12:00 noon - Blood Drive - The Blood Mobile will be here in our parking lot to collect blood donations.  If you can, please donate.  Every donation saves up to 3 lives.

Community Bible Study - Community Bible Study at Port Royal Baptist meets weekly.  The current Bible study is on Christian living and leadership through Colossians.  The Evening Group meets on Mondays at 6:00 p.m. with groups for singles, couples and children.  The Women and Children’s class meets on Thursdays at 9:30 a.m.  If you’re interested and would like more information, please call Diane at 843-941-9325 (Evening Group) or Isabella at 630-747-7961 (Day Class).

Saturday, March 23, 5:00 pm: Acts 2:42 Dinner; Bring a “comfort food” dish to share.

 

St. Helena Baptist Church

The Ladies Friendship Circle met on Feb. 5th, at the home of Gail Butler with 14 ladies in attendance.  A delicious lunch and fellowship was enjoyed by all.  Gail presented a program on her mission trip to Romania.  The ladies also began making Valentines for our local nursing home friends and was completed with our Wednesday night WMU group on 02-06-19 and ready for delivery on 02-14-19.  One of our local mission projects was also completed on 02-05-19 as cookies prepared by the ladies of the church were delivered to the St. Helena Fire Department to show appreciation for all they do for our community and to let them know that GOD loves them and so do we!!  Our next meeting will be March 5, 2019 at 10:30 a.m. at the home of Toni Heath with Kathy McTeer providing the program.

On Feb. 9, 2019 we had 4 ladies from our church attend the WMU Women on Mission Tea at the SRBA Bldg.

Also on Feb. 9, 2019 at 6 pm our adults served our youth a Valentines meal.

On Feb. 16, 2019 our youth served the adults a delicious meal for a Valentine Banquet.  This was part of a fundraiser for free camp for the youth.

On Sunday, Feb. 17, 2019, Pastor Waymond Duke presented his first sermon as our new pastor.  He and his lovely wife, Karen, joined our church by movement of their church letter.  We also accepted Edie Lane Kirchheim by transfer of letter and accepted Brian Hill by profession of faith.  The LORD is working in our church.

On Friday, Feb. 22, our church family and friends said goodbye to one of our faithful members, Gray Tomlinson.  Ray Stevens, Chairman of our Deacons and long time friend of Gray’s provided a touching and inspiring home going message.

On Friday, Feb. 22, 2019 our Men’s Ministry held Men’s Night Out, complete with a pulled pork dinner and live music provided by Kirk Dempsey.  Approximately 50 men attended.  A special thanks to Jim Kindwall for coordination of this event.

On Sunday, Feb. 24, we observed the ordinance of baptism for Brian Hill. Lunch was served after church, again to help the youth with donations for their upcoming summer trip to Kentucky to see the replica of Noah’s Ark and other Christian activities.

Please remember our Pray Warriors who meet every Tuesday night at 6 pm at the church.  If you are in need of prayer or have a special prayer request and/ or praise please let us know.

If you don’t have a home church or just want to visit to see what GOD is doing at St. Helena, our doors are open.  Sunday School starts at 9:45 a.m., morning worship begins at 11 a.m. and Sunday evening services are at 6 p.m.  Wednesday nights begin with a covered dish meal at 6 p.m., mission study at 7 p.m. and choir practice at 8 p.m.
