JULY

Maye River Baptist Church
Maye River Baptist Church has decided to open our Church and to slowly and safely resume our regularly scheduled services.  Our Church will be following CDC recommended safety guidelines in regards to social distancing, and recommend attendees wear masks when possible.  We ask if your immune system is compromised or if you have a fever or are feeling sick, that you stay home and watch our service on our webpage at mayeriverbaptist.org or on our Facebook page.

Maye River Baptist Church will slowly begin to resume most of our regularly scheduled services, starting with small group gatherings and moving forward with our Sunday Morning Worship, Sunday Evening Worship Service, and Wednesday Evening Service.  The following schedule outlines our plan for resuming our Church services.  Children Church is currently only available on our Church Facebook site.

1. Thursday Men’s Bible Study at 7:00 p.m.
2. Tuesday Women’s Bible Study at 1:30 p.m. (bring your lunch and join us for fellowship at 12:30 p.m.
3. Wednesday evening Prayer Meeting at 6:30 p.m.
4.  Sunday Morning Worship Service 11:00 p.m.
5.  Sunday School 9:45 a.m. (no children classes at this time)
6.  Sunday Evening Worship 6:00 p.m.
7.  Discipleship Class at 5:00 p.m.

North Island Baptist Church
North Island will have a Patriotic Service on July 5th at 10:30 am. Pastor Kessler will be preaching on "Will We Celebrate a Tricentennial?"


WMU News

Our leadership team meeting will be held at the home of Joyce Bunton, 2605 N. Royal Oaks Dr., Beaufort, at 6:00 p.m. on August 4.  This meeting is open to anyone who is interested in WMU and missions.  Please RSVP to 843-812-0638 or buntonj2@hargray.com 

          We need women to join us on the Leadership Team.  The position of Missions Leader is vacant.  In addition, assistants are needed for the other positions:

We are planning to have our fall meeting at Sheldon Baptist Church on Saturday morning, September 19.  Since we were unable to have our spring meeting, we encourage you to make a special effort to attend.  Information about WMU and its organizations will be shared.  Let’s prepare ourselves to be on mission.

Information from SC WMU:

  • Materials for the Janie Chapman offering for State Missions are in process. Postcards will be mailed when materials are posted on the website. DVDs will be available by request.  The theme is “Together.” 
  • SC WMU will offer virtual training  this year. They are still working on the platform and content but hope to make this available by mid-August.
