SRBA Futuring Team

On Monday, January 25, the Executive Board approved five people to serve on a Futuring Team. Their purpose is

1. To invite and encourage churches to participate in a collaborative planning process that will shape the initiatives that the association will pursue for the next 3-5 years;
2. To gather needed information (demographics, church growth, current trends, etc.) for understanding God’s leadership, our current situation, and How God wants us to proceed into the future;
3. To assist Monty Hale, Association & Pastoral Ministries Director for SC Baptist Convention, in leading a collaborative forum that will be key to building a mutual understanding on how we can best impact the world for Christ as a gathering of churches;
4. To report findings to the Executive Board and to SRBA churches;
5. To recommend future initiatives and action plans at the fall Executive Board Meeting and the 2010 Fall Session.
