Prepare the Way by Prayer

After this the Lord appointed seventy others, and sent them in pairs ahead of Him to every city and place where He Himself was going to come. Luke 10:1

Jesus’ instructions to the seventy was to pray; pray for workers in the harvest; pray before He arrived. Prayer was primary. The plan was simple: Go to specific cities and pray for people. 

They were not ask to sow or reap; but to prepare the way for harvest by prayer. They were to intercede for a huge harvest, larger than anything that they themselves could have ever thought about. (Steve Hawthorne/Graham Kendrick)

Jim Cymbala once said, “God uses deep human need as a springboard to accomplish His purposes. Whenever He does this, believers receive answers they can hardly believe.

We need to exalt God as the Lord of the harvest. Harvest means people gathered to God, to live and honor Him. Pray huge prayers; prayers where you are not the answer. Look beyond your capabilities.
