Busy Serving God
Are we so busy serving God that we no longer spend time with Him? Do you take time to sit in a quiet place with your Bible, letting Him speak to you? Are you hurrying to your next appointment or are you reading late at night just before going to bed, and can't wait to get to sleep?

Are we so busy serving God that we no longer spend time with Him? Do you take time to sit in a quiet place with your Bible, letting Him speak to you? Are you hurrying to your next appointment or are you reading late at night just before going to bed, and can’t wait to get to sleep?

“Draw near to God, and He will draw near to you”. James 4:8

We sometimes fall into the habit of not waiting upon the Lord, then we start making our own decisions instead of getting God’s advice and direction. Sit quietly in His presence, remembering HE is a God of abundance. He never runs out of resources. His blessings are unlimited.

Make a commitment to pray and read His Word daily, without rushing.  Don’t see this commitment as a burden, but as an exciting way to have a relationship with the Almighty God that knows no boundaries. Some have read His Word from cover to cover many times; but He is always there to show us one more thing; one more way to do something that He wants us to do.

Be patient; obey His direction. Make time to spend your best hours with Him in prayer and in His Word. Your blessings will be many.

Make an Appointment with the King each day!

"No man is greater than his prayer life. The pastor who is not praying is playing; the people who are not praying are straying. The pulpit can be a shop window to display one’s talents; the prayer closet allows no showing off." --Leonard Ravenhill
