GOD LOVES TO HEAR HIS PEOPLE PRAY

If you are a believer in Jesus Christ, you are called to prayer – bold, fervent, daily, constant prayer! James 5:1 says "the effective fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much." The Amplified Bible translates this as “The earnest (heartfelt, continued) prayer of a righteous man makes tremendous power available." God’s power is available for you and me today. What a great promise!

We sometimes become discouraged when we pray for someone without seeing results. We must never give up; look at your life to see if there is something you need to change, to repent of, or alter. Pray from your heart! Be open to the Holy Spirit; have a heart filled with love and compassion. In Ephesians 4 and 5, we are told to "forgive others, as Christ has forgiven us; be imitators of God…and walk in love, just as Christ loved us." At times, we may think we have forgiven each other, but if we are telling others how ‘so and so’ treated us badly, then we haven’t really forgiven. God can fill your heart with love if you ask.

Prayer is a lifestyle. Be strong in the Lord! Dr. Charles Stanley says, Endure in your loving compassionate, supplication for others. God is listening, friends. Trust Him.
