Multihousing Ministry - Blessings from the Field

At one block party, there was a young teenage girl who was in a wheelchair and obviously could not participate in many of the physical activities being offered. However, the church group had a variety of craft projects in which the young lady participated. As she made one of the crafts, she looked up and said, ”I’m so thankful that you guys have come and that you brought these crafts. I can’t do a lot of other things that kids my age do, but I love crafts and I can do them, so thanks so much!!!” What a blessing for this church to be able to offer this to the young lady and to have the opportunity to talk with her about Jesus as she worked beside them doing crafts.

At another event, a young mother would not let her son come over and join the group activities. When approached by some of the adults, she went inside her apartment and closed the door. After asking the apartment manager about this young mother, it was discovered she had just been through a traumatic experience. With the manager’s assistance, ladies from the church offered emotional and spiritual support. They journeyed with her and now she and her son are active in the ongoing ministry events.

There was a Christmas event at a complex where a church had ministered for quite some time. One of the residents spoke up and thanked the group for being there. She told them that they were now family, not just visitors to their community. Christ had formed that all important bond!!!!!

Another group ministered in a multihousing community where certain people were dealing with some difficult situations. One woman from the group realized why God had led her to this ministry since she herself had once been in the same situation. God was allowing her to use her previous experience to relate to the people there and tell them how God had transformed her life!!!!!

Below are pictures from various multihousing events.
