Thank You from Larry

Wow!!! What a full and blessed Christmas season this year turned out to be. There were so many needs to be met and so many families reaching out for help. Although it certainly became hectic at times, through the generosity of so many of you, we helped bring Christmas and the message of Jesus’ birth to so many in Beaufort and Jasper counties. Through volunteers from local and regional churches, state Baptist Collegiate Ministry groups, local youth groups, WMU, GA and Acteen groups, community service groups and individuals we were able to touch over 200 people with the love of Christ. So, from the bottom of my heart, thank you so much for volunteering your time, treasures and talents to further God’s kingdom in the hearts and lives of the families of the lowcountry.

My life was so blessed by watching and working with our volunteers and hearing the stories of how God touched or changed their own lives through service to others. Like the young college student who shared that just a few years ago, she was the one receiving a gift from Prison Fellowship Angel Tree program because her father was in prison, but now, God was using her to minister to young children in the same situation. Or the light in the eyes of a precious lady as she talked of shopping for this little boy she had never met and her desire that God would speak to him through our Happy Birthday Jesus party and the presents she had purchased. Or the story of a volunteer and her teenage children delivering presents to a home that had no Christmas tree or decorations of any kind and how when the mother that lived there opened the door and saw them with presents, she began to weep out of a thankful heart.  And those are just a few of the stories. God used each of you in mighty ways and I pray you were blessed!!!!

Serving together,

Larry
